Seasonal Children's Books || Where I find books for the best prices
I've missed you! I hope you guys had an incredible weekend and a great start to your week! I was feeling a little under the weather the past few days so trust me, you didn't miss much at all!
Like I said in a previous post, I love celebrating all holidays. I love themed parties, decoration, you name it! I especially love decorating for Sophia and making her little surprises and gift! One of my go-to / mandatory gifts are children's books. I always buy books according to the holiday, so since Fall is coming before you know it, now is the time to keep your eyes peeled and looking for the deals and steals you can find out there. I know I am!
I believe that gifting a book to a child is probably one of the best gifts you can give and I'll explain why:
I can probably count on one hand the amount of books I've ever read in my life. That's not saying a lot. I've never had a problem with reading magazines or short articles, but for some reason I've never been able to read books, no matter how hard I try, I can't get into them. I've always envied others who could get lost in books, read a book or three in a day and here I am struggling to get through the first page of one!
So before having Sophia I made a promise to myself that I'd read her books every night, regardless of how tired I was or how long the book. And ever since she was born I have kept that promise by reading to her every single night. It's probably one of my proudest accomplishments as a parent.
I think that reading stories to Sophia every night had benefited all of us. We get to bond every night over stories we all love to read as a family. Also, as soon as she started talking I noticed how clear she spoke. Many of her doctors and teachers would pull me aside and tell me how great her vocabulary was and to continue reading to her. I took that as such a great compliment. Nowadays, Sophia picks up books by herself and flip through the pages and pretends to read out loud. She absolutely love getting books as gifts, they make her so happy and she has me read them over and over again, until I hide them because I've read them for the millionth time!
I figured since there are only a few weeks until Fall, I'd share all her favorite Fall Seasonal books with you!
TIP: I purchase a ton of my books at places like TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Occasionally, I'll buy them from Amazon too. They are all half the price you'd get them for in a major book store or department store!
Notice the original price and the price I purchased it for! Thats 50% off!
May the book hunt begin!
P.S. Stay tuned for tomorrow's beauty post! My 3 favorite drugstore products I can't live without!
