TGIF || Let's Welcome September with a Pumpkin Pie Cocktail

It's Friday and it's also the first day of beautiful September. I thought it would only be appropriate to start the month of with a Pumpkin flavored drink. Fun Fact: I used to have a rule that I wouldn't let myself have anything Pumpkin flavored before the 1st of September because I felt as if I was cheating on the summer. However, I now live in Charleston, SC. It's summer here for the majority of the year so I may have slipped up and indulged as soon as I saw the first Pumpkin product I could get my hands on. 

Tonight, I'm sharing with you a drink inspired by fall. There is dairy in my version of this drink. If you are vegan or prefer non-dairy products you can substitute this with soy, almond milk, cashew milk and even coconut milk!  Here is my Pumpkin Pie White Russian. 

 

 

Ingredients: 

(Makes 2 drinks)

 

3 ounces RumChata 

3 ounces Pumpkin Pie Vodka 

8 ounces Organic 2% Milk 

Whipped Cream (sub for vegan or non-dairy whip)

Fresh Cinnamon 

Graham Cracker crumbles (for garnish)

Ice Cubes

 

Place ice in shaker. Pour RumChata, Pumpkin Pie Vodka and milk into shaker. Shake until chilled. Wet rim of glass with water. Dip rim in crumbed graham crackers for garnish. Pour in glass with ice.  Top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with freshly ground cinnamon.
