Celebrate || Sweet Sixteen ideas
I hope you're enjoying your week, it is almost Friday! I'm back from my vacation and extended
"evacu-cation" and thankfully everything is okay where we live. The only minor this is that our internet has been fried by Hurricane Irma. Compared to so many people effected by this horrific storm, I am so thankful and humble to say the least.
Today, I wanted to share with you some sweet 16 gift ideas. My sister-in-law Gianna just turned 16 years old last month. It crazy to me that she is now 16 considering I've known her since she was five years old. I've literally watched her grow from this teeny, tiny little girl to the most beautiful teenage girl ever. She is the best aunt I could ever imagine for Sophia and truthfully she's the only teenager I trust to watch or take care of her too! Unfortunately, I didn't get to spend her actually birthday with her so we celebrated when she came down to Charleston a few weeks later. Gianna is so obsessed makeup so I figured getting her the newest Anastasia Beverly Hills palette would be a the perfect gift!
Anastasia Beverly Hills - Subculture - $ 42.00
I wrapped the palette in the most delicious wrapping paper I could find. I found it at Homegoods one day and have been waiting to use it for a special occasion. I buy most of my wrapping paper at Homegoods because they have such unique styles and prints.. I literally have a closet full of different wrapping paper! Lol!
I put the wrapped package in a blush colored bag and added some bright pink tissue paper. I found these glitter numbers at Hobby Lobby for $1.99 each! I thought they would be such a great detail to the gift wrap!
I already told you guys in my last gift post that I'm obsessed with Papyrus greeting cards. I think they are so great and give more of a personalized touch than your average greeting card. They have tons of different occasions, colors, textures and prints. They have so many options that I can almost find a card that suits each individual person in my life.
I thought this card went along perfect with the gift wrap and I'm so obsessed with the glitter a rhinestones!
I also wanted to surprise Gianna when she arrived here to Charleston. So I created this four layer vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. I added fresh mini spray roses and silver dollar eucalyptus to give it a more vintage look. I love how it turned out and I think she did too!
